Federal initiatives provide better access to minor use and reduced-risk pesticides
June 24, 2002 — Minister Lyle Vanclief, Minister of Agriculture today announced two federally funded initiatives, one providing farmers with $100 million over 4 years to help increase implementation of environmental farm plans and secondly, and $54.5 million over 6 years which will allow PMRA and Agriculture Canada to provide better access to minor use and reduced-risk pesticides and help increase our international competitiveness.
