LO and Vineland announce release of Ontario Landscape Tree Planting Guide

In Memoriam – Bob Wilton

Robert Charles Wilton passed away on Sept. 7, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 73. Bob founded Clintar Landscape Management in 1973 and was a pioneer and a leader in the profession for more than 40 years. Details at HortTrades.com.

In Memoriam – Luigi Pignatelli

Luigi Pignatelli, one of the founders of Tree Valley Garden Centre Ltd. in Stouffville, Ont., passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sept. 8, 2019 in Richmond Hill. He was 90. Details at HortTrades.com.

Upper Canada Chapter Golf Tournament, Oct. 4

Government provides funding to help improve soil health in Ontario

Landscape Ontario will receive nearly $150,000 from the federal and provincial governments that will help to improve soil health in the province while reducing phosphorous entering waterways. Read the full announcement.

CNLA requests proposals for branding the new Canadian certification program

Canadian Nursery and Landscape Association (CNLA) is requesting proposals from qualified entities to support the Professional Development Committee to brand and develop a strategy for promoting the new Canadian nursery and landscape industry certification program.
