Tony DiGiovanni   Summer jobs grant will pay half the cost of hiring youth
The Canada Summer Job Grant (CSJ) Program can provide a wage subsidy of 50 per cent to employers who hire anyone aged 15 to 30. The new hire can start as early ad April 23 (and as late as July 23) and work until Sept. 1. Positions can also be up to 40 hours per week. Previously restricted to students, the requirements have been eased and grant monies allocated under the 2018 federal budget. The application deadline is this Friday, Jan. 25, and I urge all members to take advantage of this gift. For details, visit HortTrades.com.
