The University of Guelph, Office of Open Learning Workshop Series

Guelph, ON- The University of Guelph’s Office of Open Learning is continuing its offering of hands-on workshops to assist landscape professionals and homeowners make the best decisions regarding the design and development of residential landscapes. Landscape Graphic Techniques will be offered at the Guelph Turfgrass Institute on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29, 2009.



Landscape architect Mike Palmer will guide students through the basics of graphic techniques used when illustrating design ideas for landscape environments. Plant material, paving areas and other components of landscapes will be described and practiced in plan, elevation and section drawings.






“This is a chance for both homeowners and professional landscapers to learn how to best illustrate design ideas. This, in turn, ensures that design intentions are met in the construction phase of landscape development, saving time and money in realizing project goals”, says Steve Fleischauer, Manager, Program Development, Office of Open Learning.
