Hello Employers of Toronto,
The Ontario Government announced that they will support another round of Pre-Apprenticeship training programs, and have asked organizations from across the province to submit proposals. These programs help to identify, train and develop future professionals for the skilled trades – providing practical skills that will benefit them on the job (through in-class and hands on training).
We are pleased to present to you a potential program and opportunity for Toronto Chapter employers to take advantage of, that will help you to address your skilled workforce needs. Landscape Ontario is submitting a proposal in partnership with Skills for Change and Humber College for a Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program to serve your region. This program will provide participants with valuable in-class training, and practical hands on experience through a job placement.
We are asking employers to complete the attached letter of support if they are interested in participating in and supporting this program. We are looking for employer sponsors, guest speakers, work sites to tour, etc. The more employers that engage, the better the program will be for the participants!
If you and your company are interested, please follow the steps below to add yourself to the list of potential ‘Employer Supporters/Participants’, no later than Friday, July 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.
Next Steps for Employers:
1- Download the ‘Template Letter of Support’ (Click to download)
2- Copy and paste the content onto your letterhead. Edit accordingly.
3- Fill in the company information where there are yellow highlights identified in the document (please remove the highlights).
4- Check off the boxes that reflect your firm’s level of involvement/support.
5- Print, sign, and scan the letter.

Thank you in advance for your support. Landscape Ontario and our partners are really excited for the potential that this project will have for the region. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email Alex Gibson directly.
