Ottawa Chapter holds public seminar

Big names draw the gardening public in. Landscape Ontario’s Ottawa Chapter knows this, and that’s why they’ve asked Mark Cullen and John Valleau to speak on topics to provide “inspiration for gardens.”

Scheduled for March 31 at the Centrepointe Theatre in Nepean, the two-part public seminar will start off with Mark Cullen’s talk on “Ten Things I Learned from my Garden,” a personal presentation on the gardening experience, including the latest in annuals and perennials for 2005. Also included: garden design tips, practical advice and inspiration.

John Valleau of Valleybrook Gardens counters with “Creative Perennial Combinations” to put a little creativity into perennial combinations. Valleau will look at how combinations of perennials and other plants can take a garden from just pretty to enchanting – all-season long.

Tickets are $20 for LO members until December 31, or $25 for potential members and the public. Student tickets are $20. Call the Centrepointe Theatre box office at 613-580-2700 (toll-free 1-866-752-5231).
