The Canadian Nursery Landscape Association will host a nursery tour to Germany (in the vicinity of Hamburg) from August 26-30, 2019.
The tour will consist of three days of nursery tours followed by two days to visit the Baumschultechnic equipment show. The tour will be organized as a self-driving, pay-as-you-go event.

Equipment show: August 29-30, 2019.
Baumschul Technick (Nursery Machinery) 2019.
This equipment show, dedicated to nursery equipment and technology is held approximately every five years. The last show was held in 2012, so delegates can expect to see many new growing technologies on display. This is largely an outdoor show, offering exhibitors and delegates an ideal show-and-tell opportunity. See also attached brochure for further details.
AIR TRAVEL / ARRIVAL IN GERMANY
It will be the responsibility of the delegates to make their own travel arrangements to Germany. Hamburg is the nearest airport; please note there are no direct flights from Canada to Hamburg airport. Delegates should plan to arrive at the host hotel on Sunday, August 25. The tours will start early on Monday.
HOTEL
The Park Hotel Hamburg Arena has been chosen as the host hotel. Delegates are responsible to make and pay for their own hotel rooms. Visit the hotel website at www.parkhotelhamburgarena.com.
CAR RENTAL / GROUND TRANSPORTATION
In the interest of cost-effectiveness and especially travel flexibility, this tour will be organized as a self-driving / ride-sharing event. Delegates who plan to travel in Europe before or after the tour and plan to rent their own vehicles are requested to accommodate other delegates. Additional vehicles will be rented as necessary. All ground transportation costs for the week of the tour will be shared among all delegates.
MEALS
Delegates will be responsible to pay for their own meals, with the exception of lunches provided during the three days of nursery tours. Lunch costs for these three days will be covered by your registration fee. See below for more details.
REGISTRATION FEE
A Registration Fee of $500 will secure your spot on the nursery tour. This is not an extra cost of participation; the funds will be used to help cover group travel expenses such as vehicle rentals, fuel, group lunches and tour guide expenses. Participating delegates will agree that in the event of a surplus, remaining funds will be redistributed to delegates or that in the event of extra expenses, delegates will be invoiced separately by CNLA at the conclusion of the tour.
OTHER
Passports:Your passport must be valid for six months prior to your date of travel.
