New Release from MTO, Farm Guide: Farm Equipment on Highways
The Ministry of Transportation has added a new resource on its website entitled, Farm Guide: Farm Equipment on Highways. This new resource replaces the Safety Movement of Agriculture Equipment on the Roadway manual, published in 2002.
The Guide is an interactive tool, using a live table of contents and provides general information and clarification on laws applying to farm equipment and select provisions applicable to farm trucks. Representatives from Ontario Federation of Agriculture, as well as other partners provided input to ensure questions from the farming community were addressed. The guide is also available as a 30-page PDF download.
