MicroSkills, in partnership with Landscape Ontario and Humber College, is submitting a proposal to the Ontario Government for funds to offer 40 women Level 1 Horticulture Technician training in two programs that will take place in 2010 – 2012. Support letters are needed from employers who can provide 10 weeks of on-the-job work experience to women who will graduate from the training programs in early April 2011 and 2012. To confirm your interest in offering an internship/placement opportunity to a graduate, please modify the Employer Support Letter template that can be downloaded at http://www.microskills.ca/Horticultural.html and fax on your letterhead to the attention of Jane Wilson at 416-247-1877 no later than Dec.23.
