winter workshops

Landscape Ontario offers more than 100 winter workshops, safety seminars and computer courses taught by prominent industry people. Valuable information for the whole industry. Discounts for LO members.

chapter speakers

growers’ fall meeting

Evening session, held annually in mid-November, features well-known experts in areas of production, market trends, etc. No admission fee. Check Coming Events and Horticulture Review for dates.




pesticide symposium

The Pesticide Symposium is held in four locations in early March: toronto, London, Barrie, Ottawa. See Coming Events for current dates.



pesticide technician program

Licencing examinters to administer to Registered Technician Program due to revisions to the Pesticide Act. For more information call Tom Somerville at 1-800-265-5656.




certified horticultural technician

A national certification for construction/maintenance or garden centre. An industry evaluation process to validate skills and knowledge. the CHT designation is recognized across North America. See Professional Development for more information.



certified landscape designer

A new designation established by Landscape Ontario that provides design professionals with a valid way to communicate their status to their customers. Position yourself with the necessary education and experience. For more information see Professional Development.




certified irrigation technician

A certification program developed to prove a minimum standard of competency in irrigation design and installation.
This three-part program includes a home study package for each of the three levels. A written examination is held yearly at LO. See Professional Development for more information.
