Members asked to help with Habitat for Humanity project

Members of the Ottawa and Upper Canada chapters of LO are being asked to help with material and labour to take part in the Habitat for Humanity project in Kingston. It is hoped that work will be completed by Sept. 18, but that will depend if enough volunteers step forward. As well installation of water and hydro will determine a completion date. Habitat for Humanity is a registered charitable organization that seeks donations in order to build affordable homes for low income families. The partnered families have to provide 500 hours of “sweat equity” to the build program and purchase the homes from Habitat. Those members interested in the project, are asked to contact Merri Corrigall of Green Space Design at 613-634-1278, cell 613-483-2359, or merri@greenspacedesign.ca.
