The fifth annual London Chapter Golf tournament, presented by Bobcat, was another sell-out event!
The perfect fall weather greeted the 148 golfers and the tournament get underway at 11, with a shotgun start for best ball scramble.
Each participant received a box lunch, sponsored by Triple H Landscape Supplies, a sleeve of golf balls from Stihl Products, and a beverage ticket supplied by Huron Tractor. Each golfer had the opportunity to win a $55,000 truck from Oxford Dodge. Unfortunately, no one had a hole-in-one. The new putting contest was sponsored by Echo Power Equipment, and members putted for points to win an Echo Back Pack Blower. Funds raised from the putting contest will be matched by Echo, with the proceeds going to community projects.
After a full afternoon of golf, everyone returned to the clubhouse for a steak dinner, sponsored in part by Oaks/Brampton Brick, Fisher Landscape and Golf Supplies and Unilock, a glass of wine sponsored by Permacon, and a chance to win over $4,000 in prizes. Two major prizes, included generous donations of a power washer from Nevtro Sales, valued at $500, and a Stihl Kombi-system, valued at $750.
