Makatew Workshops – Medicine Bag Workshop

Join us for an engaging and hands-on one-hour Medicine Bag Workshop, where participants will explore Indigenous teachings and traditions in a safe and welcoming space. This workshop covers the Medicine Wheel teachings, cultural appreciation versus appropriation, Indigenous terminology, the history and impact of residential schools, the Indian Act, and the Truth and Reconciliation’s 94 Calls to Action.

Each participant will create their own medicine bag, a sacred item representing protection, healing, and personal connection. Through storytelling and discussion, this experience fosters understanding, reflection, and meaningful learning.
