Whether you are a
professional or just learning, this course will provide the knowledge needed to
become a better gardener. The science and practice of organic horticulture will
be introduced, along with the concepts of landscape management. Included are
field trips to observe the making of compost teas and effective microorganisms.
Humber College is the first college in Ontario to offer a comprehensive organic
horticulture course. No previous experience required. The instructor is Astrid Muschall PHEc, a member of Landscape Ontario,
who has over 20 years of experience as an organic horticulturist, garden
designer and operator of the Oasis Institute for Healthy Living. The course
runs every Thursday, starting Sept 29, and runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.,
