Lead-hand and Foreman/woman Compensation Survey
Landscape Ontario is collecting useful human resource information to serve as industry guidelines. Please take a moment to complete the following survey regarding the Lead-hand, Foreman/woman and Supervisor positions in a landscape company.
Please use the following definitions as a guideline:
Definitions
1. Foreman/woman:
This position is responsible for producing the job with the materials, equipment, staff and/or subcontractors in an efficient, competent and professional manner, while maintaining excellent working relationships with the supervisor, staff, customer and management. The Foreman/woman must have excellent knowledge of the company safety policy as well as all other policies. The Foreman/woman embraces a culture of continuous learning and is provides training for new employees.
2. Lead-hand
The Lead-hand assumes the role of Foreman/woman if he or she is off-site. The Lead-hand is guided by the Foreman/woman.
3. Supervisor
The supervisor’s role is to facilitate the production of jobs by working with the Foreman/woman at organizing and coordinating all job details on behalf of the foreman/woman. The supervisors are responsible for the forepersons and assists in the continual training of all employees.
