CONFERENCE
& TRADE SHOW: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 15
The Snow
& Ice Sector Group of Landscape Ontario, the Ontario Parks Association and
the Municipal Equipment & Operators Association are hosting a conference
and trade show at the Kitchener Memorial
Auditorium Complex, 400 East Avenue,
Kitchener, Ontario.
From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., participants will be treated to
indoor and outdoor displays of some of the latest equipment and technologies
for the snow and ice control industry, including the Municipal Equipment and
Operations Association. From trucks to plows and from electronics to software,
you will find the tools to help improve your business from over 100 exhibitors!
The full day conference is a general
overview of many different components of snow and ice control, as well as parks
and landscape management. This series of short talks will give employees a
great training and refresher opportunity.

of Wellington

Paul
has taught courses on winter maintenance and use of liquids in the Netherlands,
Czech Republic, Alberta, Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario and the USA, having made
over 100 presentations and written dozens of articles over the last 27 years.
He will highlight liquids, anti-icing and training and take your questions.

Presentation by Rob Kuhn of Environment Canada
1:00 – 1:45 pm
Rob is a Severe Weather
Meteorologist for the Ontario Storm Prediction Centre, and will provide you with the Environment Canada
perspective. Attend this session to learn more about: weather statements that
are issued including watches and warnings; winter storm tracks and major winter
snow and ice storm events, lake effect snow and other winter weather issues.
