Landscape Ontario update May 14, 2020

LO’s Covid-19 Task Force came together for its 36th meeting at 4:30 this afternoon.
 

Safety was the top agenda item. Participants had spotted crews today who unfortunately did not respect protocols. The Task Force urges LO members to observe the letter and spirit of safety protocols; the public is quick to notice when masks or distancing are ignored. The green profession has a serious responsibility to work safely, since we were Ontario’s first sector released to work.

The group’s weekly Town Hall Webinars have attracted over 2,000 live participants, and even more YouTube views. Now that everyone is back to work, the next Town Hall will be held later in the day, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26.
 

Finally, many LO members have sent thank-you notes to the Task Force, which were received with sincere appreciation. While it may be a cliché, the Task Force believes We are all in this together.
