Why JHSC Certification training?
It’s the law. If you’re an organization with 20 or more workers, the law requires you to have a Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC). This applies to farming operations in the following areas: mushroom, greenhouse, dairy, hog, cattle and poultry. This also includes landscapers. For the 6 farming operations, at least 2 JHSC members need to complete their JHSC certification training if they have 50 or more regularly employed workers.
Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS) is a Chief Prevention Officer (CPO)-approved training provider for JHSC certification training and has trained more than 100,000 JHSC members in the past 15 years.* WSPS is also a health & safety partner with Landscape Ontario.

A Certification Part Two Training for the Agriculture sector is coming up on September 24 and is also suitable for Landscape businesses.
This highly interactive and engaging 2-day training focuses on strengthening participants’ understanding of the RACE (Recognition, Assessment, Control and Evaluation) process so they could apply this to ALL hazards in their workplace, not just those covered in the course.
IMPORTANT
JHSC members must complete Certification Part One training before taking Part Two.
Certification Part Two training must be completed within six months of taking Part One for JHSC members to become certified.
For more information or to register, visit WSPS.CA or call 1-877-494-WSPS (9777).
