- Dry stone wall builder John Shaw-Rimmington
- The Bobbing Forest consists of 20 recycled sea buoys from the North Sea filled with Dutch elms. This artistic installation can be moved to different locations.
- The walkways are bordered by wide garden beds. The outer border of the whole park is specifically planted with white flowers to attract pollinators.
- The leading 800-metre walkway into the Floriade park was called the Wow-Zone. A dazzling display of annuals changed throughout the season; in September, jewel-toned dahlias seemed to float on billowy ornamental grass.
- White gaura blossoms danced on delicate stems, adding movement and light in contrast to bolder, bigger dahlias and sunflowers.
- The park’s Central Square featured two giant statues to represent the importance of balance between humans and nature. “Beehold” was made by artist Florentijn Hofman and is constructed from 10,000 steel bees.
- The Floriade Expo grounds will transition into a green community for Almere residents.
