In response to industry feedback, Landscape Ontario is applying to the government to renew funding to offer the new entrant recruitment and 6-week training program for entry level staff for a second year. New entrants would be recruited, trained and ready to work at several time intervals during the landscape and/or winter snow season.

The training program was offered in Toronto, Hamilton and Kawartha/Muskoka regions in 2020-2021, however we want to know if we should expand the  program to supply workers during the summer/fall of 2021  and/or spring of 2022 to more employers in more chapters. Another phase of this program provides funding for LO to offer targeted  training and upskilling for employees currently working in the sector to support their advancement and growth of member businesses.

The final phase of the project is the Employer of Choice program that is designed to help business owners build HR capacity within their businesses to enhance recruitment and retention of great staff.

You are receiving this email as a valued member of Landscape Ontario we are seeking your feedback about your interest in participating in the program and your interest and availability to inform its delivery, so that it meets/exceeds your needs.
