  • 6 week training (incl. a 2 week on the job placement/shadowing).
  • Eligible candidates must be willing to work 40 hours weekly and have an interest in working outside and in nature!
  • Graduates of the program will be placed in entry level positions, based on skills and interests in the Landscape and Horticulture profession in sectors such as:
    Landscape Maintenance | Landscape Construction | Garden Centre | Parks & Recreation
  • This training is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario with no costs charged to participants.

There are many career opportunities in the Landscape and Horticulture profession including:

  • Grounds maintenance
  • Softscape/Hardscape installer
  • Stone masonry/carpentry
  • Electrician
  • Marketing and retail
  • Landscape Designer
  • Supervisor, Foreperson
