Green Plants for Green Buildings

A seminar called Green Plants for Green Buildings was presented at IIDEX, Canada’s largest exposition and conference for the design, construction and management of the built environment, by Alan Darlington of the University of Guelph.


The seminar described the benefits of introducing plants in the workplace.


Alan Darlington, PhD, is an adjunct prrofessor at the University of Guelph, who specializes in the area of plant-environment interactions and has patents for the application of plant based biofilters to the indoor space. He founded Air Quality Solutions Ltd in 2001 where he has successfully transferred the technology from the laboratory to the market place.
