Free business webinars available

Members of the landscape industry have a great opportunity to take advantage of six free webinars by Jim Paluch of JP Horizons. The first one begins on Apr. 23, followed by five other webinars throughout the year.

The success of a webinar back in December, A Great Time to be in Business, had more than 1,400 companies sign up to participate. The webinar was made possible through the collective effort of green industry association executives, including Tony DiGiovanni of Landscape Ontario, across North America. Following this, the feedback and requests for more webinars were tremendous.

Now Paluch and several guest speakers will share the six presentations on ideas to understand how commitment fuels the passion that allows business owners and employees alike to set goals, overcome obstacles, and achieve the success they desire. Participants will hear success stories from inspiring industry leaders who made personal choices and found the strength to lead their teams to victory.

Session one is The Power of Commitment on Apr. 23, at 1:00 p.m. To register for the webinar, click on this address:

Creating Success By Taking Action – July 16th

Customer Focused Sales – September 17th

Financial Awareness Wins – November 19th

Tenacity To Finish Strong – December 17th

A webinar, or web seminar, is an online event designed to facilitate communication between a small number of presenters and a large remote audience through the Internet. Attendees register for each webinar and then receive an e-mail with a link to join that webinar. Attendees will see a visual presentation on their computer screen and will have a choice of listening through their computer’s speakers or dialing in on a provided telephone number. The telephone number is not toll free, however, so attendees should plan to use their computer speakers if they do not wish to incur long-distance telephone charges. Attendees may participate during the webinar by typing questions for the presenters to answer and by voting in online polls.

The Great Time For Business webinar series will follow the same format as before with presenters taking turns facilitating and bringing in industry experts to focus on specific topics and strategies to help you and your team make 2009 the foundation on which you build the future.

The webinars must be limited to 1,000 companies and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. As you click to register for the first session below, make sure you and your team will be able to attend on the scheduled date. If you register and do not attend, you will be closed out of the next scheduled webinar. Organizers want to be fair to every company and give as many people as possible the opportunity to participate. They are also suggesting that one company use one phone location with its building to leave more room for other companies to be involved in the webinar.
