Food drive also in Thornbury
In conjunction with the Easter Food Drive for the Elizabeth Fry Society
in Barrie, the Georgian Lakelands Chapter of Landscape Ontario will also
operate a ‘Fill a Landscape Trailer’ in Thornbury. Efforts here will
benefit the Beaver Valley Outreach program, which is in need of
non-perishable food items to fill the tummies of numerous local
families. The event will take place on Apr. 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
at the Beaver Valley Community Centre, 81 Victoria Street. Volunteer are
needed for those hours, so bring your landscape equipment and show it
off, volunteer to greet visitors, or when you shop over the Easter
weekend, buy a bit more and bring your donations to help fill the
