Canada Blooms would like to invite you and your guests to Canada’s largest flower and garden festival at our new home, the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place! Our 14th annual celebration will take place March 17-21st 2010 and our theme will be ‘Passions.’ Canada Blooms also is proud to announce our new $14 reduced regular admission rate and $36 Early Morning Tour rate only for our Bus and Group tours!
Located in Exhibition place, our new venue will provide Canada Blooms participants and guests with an easily accessible one floor presentation area! Adjacent to one of Toronto’s major highways, the Gardiner Expressway, the Direct Energy Centre is also convenient to reach by vehicle. The facility also offers more than 7,000 parking spaces, including 1,300 underground! Parking will also be complimentary at the Direct Energy Centre for our group tour buses! Your guests will be welcomed at the festival by Canada Blooms volunteers and handed a complimentary festival guide to help them navigate all the festival attractions. Escape the winter blues in our stunning, fully landscaped feature gardens, enjoy designs by some of Toronto’s most creative florists, take part in some green-thumb shopping in the marketplace, and learn from over 100 seminars, workshops and demonstrations presented by Canada’s most recognized experts in gardening and horticulture. - Payment must accompany ticket orders and may be made by VISA, MasterCard or cheque payable to Canada Blooms.
- Pre-paid tickets may be picked up during the festival at the main entrance.
- Refunds and ticket returns will not be accepted at the festival.
- Excess regular admission tickets sent to the Canada Blooms office within three (3) weeks after the show’s closing will be refunded by the same method of payment.
- Early Morning Tours begin at 8:30 a.m. and give you time to view the gardens with your group and a specially trained guide prior to the doors opening at 10 am. This ticket also includes general admission to the festival. Advanced reservations are booked through the Canada Blooms office for $36 per person (minimum 20) with a limited number of guests allowed daily, so book early! PLEASE NOTE EARLY MORNING TOUR TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
- Escorted groups of 20 or more receive one complimentary ticket for the tour guide.
- Bus drivers attending the show receive one complimentary ticket.
- Tickets purchased for bus groups will not be held for individual pick up at the show.
Accessibility:
Direct Energy Centre has been designed with accessible facilities for the following:
- Disabled persons: unisex and handicapped accessible washrooms, double meeting room doors, sidewalk curb cuts and heated ramps.
- Visual impaired: location and information signage with universal symbols of accessibility, Braille and raised letters where necessary, high colour contrasts; textural changes on exterior pavers, textured concrete in walk way areas and floor patterning.
- Hearing impaired: FM loop systems compatible with typical hearing aids in meeting rooms.
Please note: although Canada Blooms encourages accessibility with our builders, some of our feature gardens may not be fully accessible.
Directions/Parking:
Direct Energy Centre is located at: Exhibition Place, 100 Princes Blvd Toronto, ON, M6K 3C3
Direct Energy Centre at Exhibition Place is 4 kms west of downtown Toronto and is accessible via the Gardiner Expressway or Lakeshore Boulevard. Exhibition Place is bordered by Gardiner Expressway to the North; Lake Shore Boulevard to the South; Dufferin Street to the West; Strachan Avenue to the East. Bus offload and load will take place on the north side of Princes Blvd (westbound). Signage will direct your driver to the appropriate lot for parking.
FROM THE EAST: Take the Gardiner Expressway west to Spadina/Lake Shore Boulevard cutoff and follow the signs for Lakeshore Boulevard. Take Lake Shore Boulevard to the Princes’ Gates (just west of Strachan Avenue).
FROM THE WEST: Take the Gardiner Expressway east to Lake Shore Boulevard or Jameson Avenue. There are three entrance points to Exhibition Place from Lake Shore Boulevard – British Columbia Drive, Ontario Drive and Newfoundland Drive.
