Canada Blooms 2011 will
be presented from March 15-20 at the Direct Energy Centre. This year we have lots to celebrate as we
enter into our 15th year. We have partnered
with the prestigious Juno Awards as they celebrate 40 years of Canadian music.
The Junos will ‘Rock’ Heritage Court as CAFA showcases their elegant Juno “through the years” tribute. This exceptional
event founded by Landscape Ontario and the Garden Club of Toronto in
celebration of Ontario acclaimed Horticultural Industry annually attracts over
90,000 visitors from across North America.
The cornerstone of
Canada Blooms, as always, is our Feature Garden area, that magnificent showcase
of the best talent and creativity that Ontario’s Landscape and Horticultural
Industry has to offer. We would like to invite you to join us as we celebrate
our 2011 theme “Rhythms” — music, relationships, time, space and life. This is
your opportunity, as a recognized and respected landscape architect, designer,
design/build firm, to join us and celebrate your own vision of Rhythms.
We will be accepting design applications from September 1st until
October 15th.
Participants must submit a design proposal in
the form of a sketch, rendering or drawing or any combination of these, and
must consist of either: two 8.5 x 11-in. or one 11 x 17 in. jpeg(s). Your proposal will be reviewed by the Design Review Committee and you
will be notified by email if you are chosen to proceed. Click to view the layout

area (note: individual gardens have not yet been allocated).
Successful candidates will receive the following benefits:
- Access to environmentally friendly propane-powered
machinery - Access to volunteer labour
- Forced plant material, at their visual peak, at wholesale prices
- Construction Sand, Garden Mulch
Up to 15 complimentary tickets and 2 Preview Party tickets
- Water – maintenance & features
- Promotion in Canada Blooms Magazine presented to attendees
and presentation of corporation on the Canada Blooms Website, www.Canada
Blooms.com, with over 11 million visits.
As well as all of the
above, chosen active members of Landscape Ontario will receive a subsidy of
$9.00 per square foot to help with the building of the garden.
We have extended our application
deadline date until October 15th to allow you to provide full
details on your garden design. If you wish to participate please complete an application
