Growers encouraged to participate in CAIS program
All wholesale nursery growers not currently enrolled in the Canadian Agricultural Income Stabilization (CAIS) program, are encouraged to register before the May 31st deadline. Although participation is difficult for the nursery sector, program officials have agreed to work cooperatively with industry to make the process more user-friendly. Growers reluctant to participate because of potentially large deposit requirements are advised that low cost, no-risk loans are available through ACC Financial. In view of the many challenges facing the nursery sector this year, you should consider the CAIS program as an important part of your company’s business risk management strategy. You must enroll by the May 31 deadline to participate.
