In the Summer of 2020, Landscape Ontario launched the Garden Makeover Program as a way to recognize the dedication of frontline workers across the province.The association received over 1,000 nominations from friends, neighbours, patients and family members, who each shared incredible stories of selflessness, devotion and compassion.



In the fall, the Durham and Upper Canada Chapter’s completed garden makeovers for nurse and Covid-19 assessment centre coordinator Jada Parcells and personal support worker Alexis Wakelin. Now as we head into the spring, planning is underway for the remaining 8 garden makeovers (Toronto, Windsor, Georgian Lakelands, Golden Horseshoe, Ottawa, Waterloo Chapters, as well as the grand prize provincial makeover in Georgina, Ont.).
