Horticulture Educators Association Professional Development

The HEA team would like to create a short webinar series to connect educators and students to innovative ideas and resources in the profession!
Teams from Guelph University, Niagara College and Seneca College worked with elementary and high school students at Nicholson Catholic College and St. Michael Catholic School to design a natural schoolyard and play space for their school. Teams were supported by landscape horticulture professionals including Wentworth Landscapes, Unilock and Brydges Landscape Architecture who will help build the winning project in the spring. All teams submitted outstanding design proposals that demonstrated creativity, integrated student input, created habitat for wildlife, utilized rainwater, and designed outdoor spaces that met the needs of the students and staff at Nicholson Catholic College and St. Michael Catholic School!
A bit CONGRATULATIONS to all the students!
