The GROW New Entrant training program is developing a new pipeline of over 60 new
workers for Landscape & Horticulture employers who are hiring in the Greater Toronto
and Hamilton areas, and the Kawartha & Muskoka regions. Graduates will be available to
start work for the upcoming landscape season.

The GROW Program is hosting 2 more virtual Job Fairs on Feb. 26 and March 5.

Register: Feb. 16th at 10 am (Attendees will only be able to participate in the March 5th virtual
job fair)

About the Training:

All participants who graduate from the program will have completed the LO GROW Program
New Entrant Worker 4-week training program focused on developing hard and soft skills and
knowledge that will support them in starting their career in an entry level position in either
softscape installation/maintenance or in hardscape installation. Graduates are introduced to
Workplace Healthy & Safety, basic Horticultural Principles, plant identification and planting,
materials, plan reading, tool and equipment identification and safe operation foundational
knowledge, and much more.
