All Chapter Virtual Nov 20 Heads Up

In my short time here at LO, I have been able to connect with many of you and by the sounds of it an all chapter virtual meeting is something we’re all pretty excited about. 

Here’s how we’re hoping this all works out:

• Breakout Rooms
  • (9) breakout rooms will be available, one for each chapter
  • Attendees will be able to select and enter the chapter breakout room of their choice
  • The chapter meetings may be whatever you would like them to be
    • Networking

    • Another locally relevant speaker

Implementing the Design

Nick McCullough, McCullough’s Landscape & Nursery
As a grower, designer and installer, McCullough’s Landscape & Nursery has the benefit of seeing through projects from inception to maintenance. Owner and lead designer Nick McCullough will share how this process leads to exceptional end results. From growing the plants, to design and ongoing maintenance, he’ll share how collaboration with the homeowners is key at each and every step.
 

WSIB Health & Safety Excellence: A Unique Opportunity for Landscape Ontario Members

Vanessa Blount, and Diana Rea, WSIB
A presentation on WSIB’s Health and Safety Excellence program. In this 25 minute session you will learn about:

• How the program is flexible and meets businesses where they are on their health and safety journey. 
• The 36 health and safety topics offered to help build a comprehensive health and safety program aligned with Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development accreditation standards.
• How the program helps you build and measure improvement to a culture of health and safety within your workplace
• Supports for pandemic readiness and recovery to address immediate priorities, safely maintain operations and ensure a sustainable and resilient businesses
• How you can earn rebates on WSIB premiums with a minimum of $1,000 per topic, as well as digital recognition badges.
• Landscape Ontario members’ successes from participating in the Excellence program. 

Kaneisha De Leon, LO’s Member Engagement Coordinator, has put together an agenda for the virtual all chapter meeting.

The LO communications team is working on the marketing for this event with a landing page and a series of emails that will go out to the entire LO community. The first email will go out later this week, but as LO Chapter leadership we wanted to provide you with the information first.

The Zoom meeting has been created as well. Attendees need to register (for free) and they will be sent an email with details to join the Zoom meeting on November 17th at 4pm. The registration button below will take you to the Zoom registration.
