Good morning,

I hope you and your families are doing well.

First off, I want to thank all of the chapters. You have done an amazing job adapting to this ever-changing situation by moving to digital board meetings, as well as organizing digital chapter meetings. We have changed how meetings run and are using technology in new ways. These are exciting times.


Normally at this time of year, we are planning for golf tournaments and for fall and winter chapter meetings; this year looks a little different. 

At this point, most chapters have opted to postpone their summer events until next year. Even if we are allowed to have events, there are concerns that members will not have the time or funds to be able to support these events. 

We still want to be able to have fall/winter chapter meetings. However, these may not be the face-to-face meetings that we have been used to. We have the technology in place to be able to host webinars and virtual meetings. I would recommend that we move forward with these types of virtual events so that we can have chapter meeting dates posted to the Hort Trades website over the next few weeks. 

We have a list of speakers and topics available on your chapter’s Google Drive. If there are speakers/topics that you would like more information about please let me know.
