COVID-19 - Resources

Working together

We have received hundreds of calls and emails from members wondering if they can work under the Essential Businesses list.

The only thing that is clear is that there is no clarity.  Our lawyer advised us that the provincial Essential Workplaces list is so broad that he cannot render an opinion.

Unfortunately it will be up to you to make your own interpretation of sections 13, 28, 40, 1, 21. However, if you decide to proceed, the two most important questions you should ask are:

  1. Can I operate in a manner that will protect myself, employees, clients and the public? There are many great ideas on how to mitigate risk at this link and on the LO Covid-19 Resource Page.
  2. Can I operate in a manner that will protect the reputation of my company and the industry?

Today the government released a website where you can apply to expand the list of essential services.  Please use this link and forward us any results.

Join LO Task Force members for a Town Hall webinar tomorrow at 11 a.m.
