Ottawa Chapter Awards of Distinction, Feb. 12

GreenTrade Expo, Feb. 13

Ottawa Design Challenge, Feb. 13

Valerie Stensson to retire from Sheridan
After a 30+ career at Sheridan Nurseries, Valerie Stensson is set to retire this June. The Vice President of Marketing and Purchasing, Valerie will continue in that role while assisting in training and mentoring her replacement. Details online at HortTrades.com.

Canada Blooms is coming March 8-17
Landscape Ontario members have access to special discounted tickets for Canada Blooms and the National Home Show, March 8-17 in Toronto. Get industry certified in 2019
CNLA has scheduled test dates across the country for those candidates in pursuit of Landscape Industry Certification in 2019, with events scheduled March 8-17 at Canada Blooms (written exam) and June 22 and Sept. 21 at Landscape Ontario in Milton (written and hands-on). Candidates who have not completed all stations by Dec. 31, 2019 will be required to start over under the new format. Those who have already achieved certification before the deadline are not affected. Details on the CNLA website.

Shifting the Paradigm 2019: Growing Healthy Landscapes
On Feb. 12 at the Royal Ontario Museum, World Wildlife Fund and Carolinian Canada will convene a forum of diverse leaders to launch four linked major initiatives to help create healthy landscapes, green jobs, wildlife habitat and resilient communities in southern Ontario.
