Windsor companies working to grant Olivia’s wish…
Thanks
to Garlatti Landscaping, and other local contractors, Olivia Klingbile
of LaSalle, will receive the gift of an accessible garden with lots of
outdoor activities she can enjoy. Read the full story here.

…but materials still needed to complete Olivia’s garden
Sasha Hunter, CLD of Garlatti Landscaping, reports that they are short about $2,000 to make everything happen for Olivia’s
backyard. Contractors are installing the garden for free, but some of the materials are still required. Additionally, $3,150 is needed so the parents are not to be
out of pocket for anything. Donations are coming in daily, $20, $50, etc. Below is a material list if people
would like to donate anything.

Olivia’s Accessible Backyard Project

The plan calls for a concrete track so that Olivia can ride her
accessible tricycle; use her walker and wheelchair to get around the
garden. We are also building two raised planters for Olivia to plant
flowers and vegetables, outdoor chalkboards and art easel to paint and
draw, etc. As well, installing a chain link fence and cedar fence to
keep Olivia safe in her outdoor space.

People have donated the chain link fence and the cedar fence panels.
The city donated street signs to be made into outdoor chalk boards.
Garlatti Landscaping Inc. will be donating all the landscaping.
Someone donated the parallel bars. Some contractors are donating
their time and labour.

However, the following supplies are needed to complete the above work:

4 – 4″ X 4″ X 12′ L posts – pressure treated

20 – 4″ X 4″ X 8′ L posts – pressure treated

48 – 4″ X 2″ X 8′ L boards – pressure treated

6 – 2″ X 6″ X 8′ L boards – pressure treated

4 – 6″ X 6″ X 12′ L posts – pressure treated

15 – 4″ X 4″ X 12′ L posts  – cedar
55 – 5-1/4″ X 12′ L deck boards

74 – bags of concrete  (66 LBS.)

3 – cans of chalk board paint

Anything that you could donate would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Sasha if you are able to contribute anything to this worthy project. A gift
of kind receipt will be sent out from the Sunshine Foundation.
