New chapter coordinator looking for input

Originally from the Barrie area, I have worked in landscape maintenance and design for many years. I have been fortunate to work with several well-respected LO members in the Barrie and Orillia areas.

I do plan to continue working in design, but through my new part-time position with LO, I will work as a liaison with home office and the Georgian Lakelands executive board. I will endeavour to provide the most relevant events and educational opportunities for all of the Georgian Lakelands chapter members.

I would like to introduce myself as your new coordinator for the Georgian Lakelands. I invite your input and comments for upcoming locally-based LO seminars.

On that note, I would like to invite input from all members of our chapter to put forward your ideas for seminars and learning opportunities that you would like to see provided through LO – particularly to be located in the Georgian Bay chapter area.

I am meeting at Landscape Ontario’s home office and will present your ideas on March 30, so any input that you can give me as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated.

If at all possible, if you can also mention any local venues that may be available for use as a location to hold seminars. The facility should be able to accommodate approximately 10 to 15 people. This may also include your office boardroom, or rooms available at local suppliers. I am also looking for anyone may teach the seminars.

I look forward to working with you, and please feel free to direct any comments or suggestions to me.

Regards,

Heather Williams
