The Government of Canada is committed to ensuring all farmers are aware of the $600 million AgriInvest Kickstart program and have enough time to apply, and have extended the deadline for applications to April 14, 2008.
To help producers in the transition to the new suite of business risk management programs, the Government of Canada is providing a one time contribution of $600 million to kickstart AgriInvest accounts.
The majority of producers do not need to apply to the program and have already received a letter explaining their AgriInvest Kickstart benefit. Growers who have not received a letter need to apply by the April 14 deadline.
