Ethnic gardens sought for unique TV opportunity

A new documentary series on OMNI TV will focus on ethnic gardens in Canada, and this summer’s focus will be on Toronto-area gardens.

Producers Nida Marji and Bruno Moynie are looking to feature one garden per 30-minute show, highlighting unusual plants and the challenges of growing certain ethnic plants, as well as the growing techniques they have used successfully and unsuccessfully along the way. Through the segment, the audience will also learn about the gardeners themselves and their ethnic background and how they keep their culture alive through their gardens.

If you know of an avid gardener who has had success with growing fruits, vegetables and other plants specific to their ethnic background, or would like to share other ideas for the show, please contact Nida Marji (416-258-8091) or Bruno Moynie (416-826-8106) at Wonder Jar Inc., or email nidaa@ca.inter.net.
