Dear Fellow Horticulturists:
The education of Ontario’s teachers and students about Ontario agriculture and its relationship to the environment is critical to our long term success. We need tomorrow’s consumers to understand what we do, how we do it, and where we interact within eco-systems. Landscape Ontario supports the role of Ontario Agri-Food Education Inc.(OAFE) in creating and distributing curriculum-linked classroom resources for teachers about food, rural issues, and the environment, for grades K – 12. To do this more effectively, OAFE has launched a fundraising raffle.
Please help OAFE narrow the urban/rural knowledge gap and reduce “agri-illiteracy” in our schools by particpating in the OAFE Raffle. Your dollars can help deliver our environmental stewardship message to today’s students — tomorrow’s consumers.
