Humber College is pleased to announce the launch of our new Landscape Maintenance and Development Certificate Program beginning mid-March, 2003. This competency-based, practical program will:
· Offer a choice of two areas of specialization: Horticultural Maintenance and Landscape Construction.
· Run from mid-March to mid-November 2003, giving the students exposure to working and growing conditions in all four seasons.
· Be delivered at the College’s north campus and the Humber Arboretum, which is located at the north campus of the college. The extensive gardens of the 200-acre Humber Arboretum will provide students the opportunity to acquire a wide range of horticultural and landscape construction knowledge and skills.
· Be taught by experienced, industry-recognized teachers and technicians who will provide intensive, personalized instruction in small groups (typically six students per instructor/ technician). Our goal is to produce a highly trained, competent graduate ready to step into the workplace.
· Be restricted to 18 students per choice of specialization.
