IPM Symposium offers valuable information

An industry on the move – professionals in action – these taglines can refer to a number of projects in our industry, but attach them to the IPM Symposium and you will understand how important this traveling symposium is to lawn and landscape professionals.

The symposium runs from February 24 to 27 and hits four locations: Barrie, London, Toronto and Ottawa.

Now in its 38th year and fully supported by the Ministry of Environment (MOE), the IPM Symposium (formerly the Land-Pesticide Symposium) has moved with the times and issues to bring a well-rounded, informed and inspirational outlook on the steps the landscape industry has and continues to take to follow and promote Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Learn about the latest insect and weed problems, reports from the MOE and Pest Management Regulatory Agency and the direction the industry is taking with IPM. Other highlights include: producing great lawns, new information on 2,4-D, IPM tips, dealing with hot bugs and weeds, and approved IPM education credits, as well as information on the Pesticide Industry Council Pesticide Technician Program and the Pest Control Safety Council of Canada.

IPM-accredited professionals can earn approved educational credits by attending the symposium. Simply hand in a copy of the IPM Symposium Program and individual certificate to the IPM Council for review.
