  • Joined Committee for Arborists’ Best Practices project
  • Participated in University of Guelph Job Fair
  • Recruited 27 young people for three-month, full-time education program. The program was completed at LO on February 14, 2002 (funded by OMAFRA)
  • Partnered with Humber College for two-month Apprenticeship program, starting April 12, 2002
  • Developed Employment Standards Exemption poster for agricultural sector
  • Speaking engagement at White Oaks High School, Oakville, on Careers in Horticulture, March 5, 2002
  • Education & Employment Booth at Canada Blooms
  • Formed High School Horticultural Teachers Association. First meeting is May 30, 2002.
  • Writing a series of monthly articles, on “Employee Retention”, in Horticulture Review.
  • Dufferin-Peel teachers meeting, with 25 teachers, at LO April 18, 2002.
  • Partnering with Humber College on 20-week Pre-Apprenticeship Course
