- Education/Safety Booth at Congress 2002 Trade Show
- Coordination of WSIB Safety Groups for 2002
- Completed 44 WSIB Safety Groups policies (for safety manual)
- Joined Committee for Arborists’ Best Practices project
- Participated in University of Guelph Job Fair
- Recruited 27 young people for three-month, full-time education program. The program was completed at LO on February 14, 2002 (funded by OMAFRA)
- Partnered with Humber College for two-month Apprenticeship program, starting April 12, 2002
- Developed Employment Standards Exemption poster for agricultural sector
- Speaking engagement at White Oaks High School, Oakville, on Careers in Horticulture, March 5, 2002
- Education & Employment Booth at Canada Blooms
- Formed High School Horticultural Teachers Association. First meeting is May 30, 2002.
- Writing a series of monthly articles, on “Employee Retention”, in Horticulture Review.
- Dufferin-Peel teachers meeting, with 25 teachers, at LO April 18, 2002.
- Partnering with Humber College on 20-week Pre-Apprenticeship Course
