A video shoot, scheduled sometime in mid-June in the Ottawa area (primarily Algonquin College campus), is in need of six ‘trainees’ to film over one-day in a variety of tasks.

The filmmakers require a mix of English and French speaking junior level employees. There is an honorarium paid to participants for their time.

The Canadian Agricultural Human Resource Council (CAHRC) is currently working on phase two of the On-the-Job (OJT) Training program that includes development of a video tool for employers and trainers. OJT is customized to the green industry, taking place where 80 per cent or more of training already occurs, on-the-job.

This video tool will be used to refresh trainers on a regular basis as well as introduce people to the concept of OJT. The ‘trainees’ should be comfortable with being on camera and pick up new tasks with ease. The roll is focused as a hands-on demonstration of training scenarios and is non-scripted.
