Project Chirp and the Pollinator Gardens Project are planting a Feature Garden at Canada Blooms to show how you can use your own plot to help native birds, bees, and butterflies survive and thrive even in the city. The garden will have a large number of native plants in bloom, along with a water feature, bee condos, bird nests and boxes, and information about how to do this at home.

Shrubs and trees are natives combining spring or summer blooms for pollinators with fall berries to sustain migrating birds – so come and see them all and talk to our experts about gardening to help wild species…or catch our speakers Clement Kent, Mark Peck, and Laurence Packer in the Blooms Garden Solutions series. Our booth #422 in the Marketplace will have more informational material and experts to answer your questions.

Defining Moments

So much can be defined in a single moment
. Whether your passion is gardening, sports or the environment, there is always a moment where you had to defy the odds, achieve excellence and become the best…A personal moment in time in which everything made sense, everything came together. A speech from a coach that encouraged you to “dig in”, a gardening tip that inspired growth, a turning point in life that “re-charged” the passion for what you care about and helped along the journey to success.
Call2Recycle’s “defining moment” is when each of us shows respect for our environment by recycling rechargeable batteries and cell phones.

Guests are invited to visit the Call2Recycle booth (#722) and hear their passionate stories…as well as share your own defining moment with us. To view last year’s Defining Moment Video click here.

Canada Blooms was founded by the Garden Club of Toronto and Landscape Ontario
