Certification is good business!

Landscape Ontario supports and encourages certification programs to raise the level of skills in the landscape and horticulture industry. Certifying an individual’s competence or skill level is usually accomplished through written or practical evaluations. A certification designation also provides a means of demonstrating a high degree of proficiency through commitment to education. The following certification programs are available through Landscape Ontario:

Certified Landscape Professional (CLP)

This exciting program was created for green industry business owners and top managers. The CLP designation indicates knowledge of the varied skills needed to run a business successfully. Candidates must complete exams in seven topic areas. Manuals are available. Contact Sally Harvey for further details or visit www.clp.canadanursery.com

Certified Horticultural Technician (CHT)

Test days are as follows: Milton on July 16 and 17, Ottawa, Kemptville College, on Aug. 13 and 14, and re-test day in Milton on September 24 and 25.
