6th Annual Consumers’ Choice Contest for Garden Centres
LO member garden centres will receive ballots to hand out to their customers for a consumer awareness campaign. The garden centre with the most votes will be awarded the LO Consumers’ Choice Award. One lucky customer at the winning company will receive $250 worth of merchandise (LO to pay half). All ballots must be postmarked no later than August 8. London Chapter Golf Tournament
The Willows Golf and Country Club, 2124 Westchester Bourne (County Road 74), 4 km north of Hwy. 401
The London Chapter’s 18-hole, best ball tournament supports the Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario. Shot gun start is at 12:45 p.m. with dinner to follow at 5:00 p.m. $100 per golfer. Growers Summer Tour
This year the Growers will tour some of the most progressive nurseries in Canada — Ontario nurseries! The theme this year is field and pot-in-pot production of high quality woody nursery stock. This behind-the-scenes look at woody plant production will provide opportunities for networking, problem solving and the sharing of innovative ideas.
